Central Parkway
Central Parkway, which separates the neighborhoods of Over-the-Rhine and West End, is in the midst of a dramatic transformation. The skywalk connecting Cincinnati Music Hall (left) to the Town Center Garage (right) came down in late 2017, but the concrete support piers still remain. The Crosley Telecommunications Center (right) was built as part of the 1970s Queensgate II urban renewal project and is home to Cincinnati’s PBS affiliate, but the city and private developers are eyeing it as the site for a new arena. (The building’s other tenant, Cincinnati Public Radio, moved into a new facility of their own in January 2025, perhaps seeing the writing on the wall.) As for the road itself, it’s set to get a dramatic makeover in the coming years, reducing the amount of asphalt and making it a more hospitable place for pedestrians, cyclists, and transit users.
