Western Hills Viaduct
The Western Hills Viaduct was built from 1930-32 as part of the Union Terminal project to cross the Mill Creek and multiple rail yards, connecting Cincinnati's west side to the urban core. It has reached the end of its useful life and will be replaced by a new structure in the coming years.
Ronny and I walked across the Western Hills Viaduct to better understand the structure from a pedestrian's perspective and document the bridge, which is slated for demolition within the next decade. Visit Ronny's post to see his photos, as well as a few of my aerial shots, taken that day.
