Dennison Hotel Tarp

Dennison Hotel Tarp

Columbia Development Corporation owns the historic Dennison Hotel building in Downtown Cincinnati's Main Street Historic District. Columbia applied for permission to demolish the building but were denied, as the building is in relatively good condition and could be rehabbed. They mysteriously installed a large black tarp covering the front of the building, despite not having a permit to do so, claiming that debris could fall from the building onto the sidewalk below. After getting caught, they rushed and applied for a permit today (after the installation was already complete). This is clearly an attempt by Columbia to make the building look as bad as possible in an effort to be granted the demolition. Columbia is owned by the Joseph Family, who own several downtown parking lots and many car dealerships under the Joseph and Columbia names.
