Web

I have been creating websites since middle school, when I learned HTML from looking at the code of different websites online and reading tutorials. I created websites for school projects, bands, friends, and more. I went on to learn CSS, XML, XSLT, and other languages. I then got involved with the web standards project, which promotes the creation of websites that are viewable in any web– enabled device.

Since January 2007, I have been the webmaster for Bearcast Radio. We have just launched a new website and will be adding more interactive features like blogs and podcasts this year.

I am now working for UC’s Web Communications department on several projects relating to website and video content.

Random quote

“I think Cincinnati is a great place to do art, [but] it’s a bad place to be an artist. Because you can live here cheaply and stay under the radar, do your own thing, but once you try to go out and get some support for it… you almost have to take it out of town and have it be cool somewhere else before people here really accept it.” —John Curley
