Audio production

I first worked in audio production when recording music for my own bands and musical projects. I have used programs such as Cubase, Cakewalk Guitar Tracks Pro, FL Studio, and Garage Band to record or create music.

I first experienced a recording studio setting in 2005, when I recorded an album with The Lukewarm, which we produced and released ourselves. We returned in 2006 to record another album.

My first college–level audio production class was Digital Audio Production, which I took Summer Quarter 2008. In this class, I produced several PSAs, commercial spots, radio show intros/outros, and worked on improving my voiceover abilities. I hope to eventually take CCM’s Multitrack Music Production course and intern at one of the major recording studios in the area.

Radio

In addition to music, I have also worked since my second quarter of college at Bearcast, the University of Cincinnati’s student Internet radio station. I have co–hosted radio shows for two quarters, and also maintain the station’s website and social networking pages. As Technology Director, I also handle the station’s DJ automation system, and assist in getting DJs access to the station’s computers and broadcast facilities.
